My first post

I am not really sure how to do this whole blogging thing. I decided that starting a blog may just help motivate us to take more pictures of Brinley and document how she is rapidly growing up. Now that we are a "real" family we have to do it right? Well maybe not but we are giving in anyways. I do love the concept of blogging in that it is like an online record of what is going on in our lives. If for nothing else, it can help me to remember what is important to me. If no one else reads this, I know that I will be able to look back and remember, and that is good enough for me.

So there are some great things and some hard things going on in our lives right now. All of the great things right now have to do with Brinley. She is the best baby (of mine of course). She has the most beautiful smile and we think she had her first laugh today (although it came and went pretty quickly). She is growing so fast it scares me. She got weighed on Monday and now weighs a whopping 11 lbs 10 oz. Almost twice her birth weight.

Another great thing is Brent graduating. Yay! But because of graduation Brent no longer has his campus job and is now diligently looking for a new job. Not as easy as it sounds. Especially because he has to take care of Brinley while Iam at school. That is another hard thing. School. I just have one semester left and I am dreading it like I never have before.

Tonight we had time to sit and watch the National Championship College football game. Last game of the season. We may now have Brent back for the next 8 months!
